A typical product of the Pianura Padana, the Grana Padano DOP by Agriform is a fine and delicious cheese, symbol of culinary excellence Made in Italy worldwide.
Made from partially skimmed cow's milk, it is a semi-fat cheese with a hard paste, finely granular, white or straw-colored, enclosed by a hard, smooth, and thick crust, dark yellow in color.
It possesses a fragrant aroma and a truly characteristic and persistent taste. The production area of Grana Padano DOP extends throughout Northern Italy and largely coincides with the Pianura Padana region in its territories north of the Po River. It indeed involves five Regions, from Piedmont to Veneto and Emilia Romagna.
In its unmistakable flavor, Grana Padano encapsulates centuries of history that trace their origins back to the 11th century in the heart of the Pianura Padana, a territory reclaimed by Cistercian and Benedictine monks, the inventors and guardians of the authentic recipe, which has remained unchanged to this day.
In 1954, the Grana Padano Protection Consortium was established, which in 1996 received DOP recognition from the European Community. Currently, Grana Padano is the most sold Italian DOP cheese in the world!
This Grana Padano is the 10-month aged variant, a characteristic that makes it the youngest version of this cheese.

Grated, in flakes, or sliced, it can be used both as an ingredient in meat or vegetable fillings, in savory pies, or in baked gratin dishes, but also to enhance many first courses.
In general, it is a versatile cheese because it can elevate every course without overwhelming the other ingredients; delightful on meat carpaccio, on vegetables, and in preparations with eggs, it also lends itself to unique pairings with fruit, jams, and honey or in unusual desserts.
It pairs perfectly with still white wines, sparkling or spumante when tasted as an aperitif; during the meal, or at the end of the meal, it is recommended to pair it with mature red wines.
