The Santa Lucia pears supplied by Sa.Ma. Frutta are a rare variety of very ancient fruit. Incredibly fragrant, they provide a sweetness to the palate that few other pears can offer.
This pear is medium-sized, with smooth yellow-reddish skin. Its flesh is white and buttery, and when it reaches full ripeness, it is very sweet and juicy.
Ripening occurs in September, but the fruits store very well until the end of November.
