The Tenura Reviseur VS Cognac is a French brandy protected by Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC), made from the distillation of white wine.
It is produced in the Charente and Charente Maritime departments in the west of France.
This distillate owes its name to the city where it was traditionally traded, Cognac.
The Cognac is a fine distillate with a long history, dating back to 1622 when the Dutch were purchasing wine and salt in these areas while ascending the Charente River. They taught the locals how to distill wine, and thus the Cognac market was born, a very large trade that has now expanded all over the world.
The Reviseur VS Cognac offers a personalized tasting experience, starting with the choice of glass, usually the tulip-shaped one. Pour about 25ml of Cognac into the glass and let it warm between your hands for about 10 minutes.
The ideal temperature is 20°C. Then, move on to the phase where you need to smell it, where you will sense the aromas, and finally gently swirl the cognac in the glass to better mix the flavors. Sniff it again and then taste it. Cognac pairs wonderfully with coffee, cigars, and chocolate. Additionally, it can also be used as an ingredient in many cocktails.
