South Tyrol Pinot Blanc DOC “Berg” - Colterenzio

The Berg Alto Adige Pinot Bianco DOC 2018 from Cantina Colterenzio is a pleasantly fruity wine with elegant minerality, made from selected grapes coming from the Appiano Monte area, the most renowned area in Alto Adige for Pinot Bianco.

Variety: 100% Pinot Bianco from old vines aged up to 40 years, cultivated on trellises or pergolas.
Vineyard: focuses on the Eppan Berg area, one of the historically recognized places for Pinot Bianco, at the foot of Mount Mendola, at an altitude of 450-500 m above sea level. The soils are of morainic origin, with limestone layers mixed with silt, sand, and clay.
Vinification: controlled fermentation at 18°C in wooden barrels of various capacities, followed by aging on the fine lees from fermentation for about 10 months, still in wood. After blending, the wine is bottled and left to rest for a few months before commercialization.
Aging potential: 5 - 10 years.

Acidity: 5.8 g/l
Dry extract: 19.7 g/l
Residual sugars: 2.5 g/l

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
