The Tufico Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico DOCG 2016 by Colonnara is a Verdicchio cultivated in a single vineyard in Cupramontana. Thanks to the low production, the manual harvesting of the grapes at very late periods, and the long fermentation, the Tufìco acquires truly unusual notes. This wine was named by Luigi Veronelli, who suggested adding the distinctive accent.

Soil: of marine origin, predominantly sandy with clayey layers and Pliocene sandy elements in banks or blocks, locally called “tufo”.
Processing: Manual harvesting of the grapes done at very late periods. Fermentation at low temperatures. Aging on its own lees for about seven months. Bottling refinement for at least six months.

Alcohol percentage: 13.5% vol.
The Tufico Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico DOCG 2016 by Colonnara is an excellent wine with cured meats, medium-aged cheeses, pasta dishes, and risottos with vegetable sauces of mushrooms, white truffles, fish, and shellfish; grilled fish, nobly sauced fish, shellfish cooked in any way, and sauced white meats.
Color: intense straw yellow, very bright, with green-gold reflections.
Aroma: complex and broad aromas. Fruity-floral, with notes of pineapple, peach, hazelnut, mimosa, broom, and lime tree, emerging in successive vegetal notes of sage and mineral notes of flint.
Taste: dry, soft, and savory with a perfect balance between the hard and soft components. Very long persistence and perfect correspondence with the fruity, floral, vegetal, and mineral olfactory sensations.
