The baci di Cherasco are a delicious treat from Piedmont, made from a fine blend of dark chocolate with 65% cocoa mass mixed with toasted Piedmont hazelnuts according to an ancient recipe and coarsely crushed. Their name comes from the town of Cherasco, located in the Cuneo area, where these sweets were invented at the end of the 1800s.
The baci di Cherasco are made with dark chocolate, chopped hazelnuts, and sugar, which are mixed together and then shaped into cylinders. Once baked, they are sliced and covered with powdered sugar. They are very fragrant and flavorful, with a crunchy texture on the outside and soft on the inside.
Today, the baci di Cherasco are highly appreciated throughout Italy and have become a symbol of Piedmontese pastry.
Ingredients: Chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavor. Min. 65% cocoa), toasted HAZELNUTS from Piemonte IGP (40%).
