Couscous is a dish of North African and Mediterranean origin, made from steamed durum wheat semolina granules.
Since it has the same nutritional characteristics as whole wheat, couscous is a good source of fiber, B vitamins, phosphorus, and potassium; rich in carbohydrates, proteins, and fiber with a modest fat content. Furthermore, like all whole grains, it has a high satiety power.
