The story of Agriturismo Parco Verde begins in 1994 when Grandpa Raffaele and Grandma Maria decide to open the doors of their farm, transforming the old farmhouse into a place to welcome their guests, thereby showcasing the traditions of simple and genuine Lucanian cuisine.
Their children and grandchildren, raised with the values of Raffaele and Maria, decided to fully participate in the family business, starting a path of growth and beginning the production of typical Lucanian products such as peperone crusco.
Agriturismo Parco Verde: hospitality amidst nature and Lucanian flavors
Agriturismo Parco Verde is located in the municipality of Grumento Nova, in the province of Potenza, at 600 meters above sea level and one kilometer away from the Pertusillo Lake. It stands in the center of a vast area of significant artistic and cultural interest. Just 200 meters from the structure are the National Archaeological Museum and the archaeological excavations of Grumentum, which, in Roman times, was one of the most important centers of inner Lucania. The remains of the ancient city today represent one of the major tourist attractions of the Val d’Agri.
The ancient farmhouse hosts a restaurant on the ground floor with 70 seats. In the woods of the agriturismo, there is also a camping area. Parco Verde is recognized by the magazine PleinAir as a "quality spot".
Majestic and characteristic, lending its image to the agriturismo's logo, is the centennial oak found in the inner garden: almost 700 years of life for a tree with a total circumference of 7.80 meters.
Over the years, Agriturismo Parco Verde has been able to renew itself without ever losing touch with true local traditions, creating a perfect harmony between cuisine and nature. Guests savor ancient recipes every day in the shade of the centennial oak.
In the spirit of innovation, Parco Verde Food and Beverage was born in 2016, aimed at all customers who wish to purchase Lucanian excellence crafted and packaged with the love that only a passionate artisan can have.
