A dream come true

La Casaia is not just a winery, La Casaia is the realization of a dream! The dream of Roberto and Vittorio, two young fifty-year-olds, 52 and 53 to be exact, who have the spirit and enthusiasm of two tireless twenty-five-year-olds.

Their objective? To produce great wine, spread the culture of good drinking, good living, and above all enhance the wonderful territory of Oltrepò Pavese, the area where their agricultural company is located.

Green excellence nurtured by the passion of Roberto and Vittorio

The motto that drives all their work is: WE make wine with CALM, because only then does it become special!

This splendid project was born in 2017, from a branch of the Lozza company, on a late summer evening, during one of the many fantastic dinners spent in company. Vittorio, with contagious euphoria, emphasizes that this idea has a profound Italian spirit: it was born, like all beautiful things, from a great friendship and the sharing of a great glass of wine, maybe even two... Vittorio and Roberto immediately got to work and, in a beautiful but little-known place like Oltrepò Pavese, they created a new reality aimed at producing organic wines, respecting nature and its rhythms and taking care of man and the quality of everyday life, with an eye on a more sustainable future. 

By offering their customers high-quality wines, La Casaia, in its own small way, wants to spread the culture of organic wine and all the attention and respect that this type of agriculture entails for the surrounding environment. In short, Vittorio and Roberto, proudly and excitedly offering their organic wines, want to help consumers make informed choices for a better world.
 

The agricultural company located on the forty-fifth parallel

The La Casaia agricultural company is located in the Lombard hills of Santa Giuletta, a municipality in Oltrepò Pavese, situated about 250 meters above sea level.

More precisely, we find ourselves straddling the 45° parallel which, due to its climate and geographical configuration, marks the way of the sea and is the best parallel in the world for the production of Pinot Noir. From this peculiarity, it is immediately clear, scrolling through the labels, that Pinot Noir represents the company's bet, which has chosen to vinify it in different versions: in black the classic one, in white the easy-drinking one, and in rosé as the fashion trends of recent years dictate. But the experimentation of the couple from La Casaia doesn’t stop here; in fact, Roberto and Vittorio decided to make Pinot Noir in purity even more intriguing and pleasant with a sparkling version using the traditional method.

In the assortment of La Casaia, we also find one of the cornerstones of the Oltrepò Pavese area: the classic Bonarda, a sublime expression of the territory and of the Lombard traditions.

Chardonnay, the award-winning excellence of La Casaia agricultural company

Started as a beautiful idea among friends, today Casaia has managed to establish itself among the best 100 Italian sparkling wines, receiving at Golosaria 2022, the "Top Hundred 2022 the best wines of Italy" award with the Chardonnay Metodo Classico Passione VSQ 2017!

The culture of good food perpetuated by La Casaia

Between sips of Bonarda, still during an Italian lunch, Vittorio tells us how this dream has materialized and expanded in just a few years, to the point of involving other friends who share the same goals and values. Relationships that, solidified over time, have expanded the gastronomic offer of La Casaia with rice, cured meats, cheeses, saffron, and honey.
