The walnuts provided by Sa.Ma. Frutta come from Venice, more precisely from Eraclea, and are harvested from Tenuta La Spiga. In this corner of the countryside of eastern Veneto, near the sea, in a still unspoiled landscape just a step away from the Caorle lagoon, the estate produces and harvests top-quality walnuts.
This is a very particular variety: it's called Lara and has a more delicate and sweet flavor compared to other types of walnuts.
