For your kitchen, we offer this aromatic plant in a 14-centimeter pot that will provide you with fresh lemon verbena whenever you need it to flavor your creations at the stove or your dishes.

This little plant grows very well in full sun and preferably against a wall facing south. In winter, it may not withstand bad weather, so it needs to be sheltered in a covered place. It is a perennial plant that produces lanceolate leaves with a characteristic lemon scent. It can reach a height of 3 meters.

It is also known by the name Luisa Herb or Luisa Lemon, names that originated after Maria Luisa, the princess of Parma who became queen of Spain, decided to have this aromatic herb imported to Europe in the 18th century. It is a plant of great value, highly sought after and used in herbalism and liquor production.

The fresh, but also dried, leaves of Limoncello Verbena are used to prepare infusions, herbal liqueurs, to flavor oil and vinegar or jams, fruit salads, gelatins or ice creams. 
 
A tasty recipe to fully enjoy the aroma of this herb is definitely the ricotta cakes with verbena.

Its leaves can also be used to take away some of the sharpness from pork or wild game.
