Inspired by the recipe for Sbrisolona, Parole nel Piatto has reimagined the sbrisolette, calling them Pollicini, based on the fairy tale of Pollicino and his breadcrumbs. This is the version with apricot and lavender.
Made with the same technique as artisan Sbrisolona: with butter and not with lard and a proper balance between "00" flour and corn flour. Only fresh ingredients are used, kneaded just enough to maintain the characteristic of Sbrisolona: its crumbliness.
Ingredients: flour type "00", fresh butter , granulated sugar, almonds , fine cornmeal, candied apricots, lavender flowers, vanilla, salt.
The Pollicini are a sweet treat for all occasions, from a breakfast with milk or coffee to a tasty snack accompanied by a glass of wine. They pair well, like almost all desserts, with dessert wines or sweet wines such as Recioto di Soave, an aromatic white wine.
