The Visciole are a very ancient variety of wild sour cherry, which, as early as Ancient Rome, grew along the Via Flaminia. Corte Luceoli has created an excellent meditation wine flavored with Visciola: a skillful blend of fine black grapes Sangiovese grosso, sugar, and Visciole.
Considered the best sour cherries overall, Visciole have an intense flavor, not too sweet, but with an intriguing almond-like finish and a nice fresh and tart sensation. This particular wine, with a fairly consistent alcohol content, has a dry and finely tannic flavor, a ruby-red color tending towards garnet, and an intense aroma of sour cherry, with hints of cocoa and toasted hazelnuts.
The Vino di Visciole "Adele" by Corte Luceoli is excellent to enjoy at the end of a meal or while reading a good book, in the classic moment of meditation.
It pairs very well with semi-aged and aged cheeses, dried pastries, spoon desserts, dark, milk, and white chocolate.
