The Col de la Bastia Valpolicella DOC from the Azienda Agricola Fattori is a high-quality dry red wine, made from the extraordinary grapes cultivated in the vineyards located in the Bastia area, a watershed between the Val d'Alpone and Val d'Illasi, in the heart of Valpolicella, a hilly region in the northwestern part of the province of Verona.
Valpolicella is a wine that originates from a blend of grapes from different grape varieties, among which the most important is Corvina (65%); also present are Rondinella (10%), Corvinone (15%), and other non-essential vineyards that appear in various percentages, up to a maximum of 25% overall, with no more than 10% for each variety.
This still black wine is characterized by a deep ruby red color. The aroma, quite distinctive, is wine-like and has aromatic notes reminiscent of cherry and small red berry fruits. The flavor, on the other hand, is velvety and full-bodied, is gently tannic and balanced, featuring fresh notes of red fruits.
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
The Col de la Bastia Valpolicella DOC from the Azienda Agricola Fattori is ideal for appetizers based on cheese. It is also excellent for pairing with main courses of white meat and meat in general. The ideal serving temperature is around 14-16°C, and the recommended type of glass is a large red wine glass, which, by allowing the wine to oxygenate, gives the aromas the chance to release all their intensity.
