We are in Siusi, in one of the most beautiful valleys of South Tyrol. Among the green meadows and the blue sky stands the Sciliar massif, a mountain of about 3000 meters with a sharp peak, immortalized by a major confectionery company on its packaging. Here, the Rabanser family continues the ancient practice of distillation in their historic farmhouse. This tradition has been passed down since the distant 1300s. Florian is an eclectic character who balances his passion for producing spirits with running a beautiful hotel, the Florian. He doesn't produce large quantities as his reality is subject to an ancient but still effective law that limits the amount of alcohol produced per family in South Tyrol to 300 liters. For this reason, Florian has decided to focus entirely on high-quality raw materials, local and representative of the culture and tradition of South Tyrol. The pomace is recovered from his friend Klaus Lentsch, whose wines you can find on this site.
