The Grappa di Barolo 1789 Bourbon Cask Finish is a distilled spirit aged for over 18 months in oak barriques and perfected in barrels previously used for aging Bourbon Whiskey, allowing for a special refinement: color, fragrances, and aromas typical of a Reserve, highlighting spicy, toasted, and dried fruit notes.
According to American tradition, the spiritual father of Bourbon is Reverend Elijah Craig, who named his whiskey in 1789. The magic of Bourbon aging is based on the indispensable and refined contribution of wood essences: this whiskey, aged in barrels, experiences increasingly complex olfactory and aromatic sensations derived from the wood, in addition to the intensification of color, which reaches the typical shade of dark amber.
Bourbon whiskey is a symbol of American distillation; similarly, internationally, Piedmont is associated with a name that has made history in the winemaking of the Langa hills: Barolo. From the pomace of Nebbiolo grapes from the area of the homonymous hilly location near Alba, one of the symbol distillates of the UNESCO-protected Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato area is obtained: Grappa di Barolo.
Grappa di Barolo 1789 Bourbon Cask Finish is a unique distillate with exceptional notes, 100% Piedmontese, capable of singularly and inimitably enhancing its entire personality.
