The Mofete Rosso Etna Rosso BIO DOC 2018 from the winery Palmento Costanzo is an organic red wine that originates from the northern slope of Mount Etna and takes its name from the scientific denomination of the last lava flows of the volcano. It is a fresh wine with good body and strong typicity.
Grapes: nerello Mascalese 80%, nerello cappuccio 20%
Vineyard: 750 m a.s.l., with soil of black and brown volcanic sands 60-70%; stones and effusive rocks.
Harvest: manual, second decade of October.
Winemaking: fermentation in steel with selected indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation is fully performed.
Aging: 50% 12 months in steel and 50% 12 months in oak barrels of 50 hl. 12 months in bottle.
Year: 2018
Alcohol content: 13.5 % vol.
