The Nero di Sei Etna Rosso BIO DOC 2015 from the winery Palmento Costanzo is an organic red wine that comes from bush-trained vineyards located in Santo Spirito and Passopisciaro, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. It is a wine with a complex yet refined bouquet, structured and enveloping, to be enjoyed until the end.
Grape varieties: nerello mascalese 80%, nerello cappuccio 20%
Vineyard: 750 m above sea level, with a soil of black and brown volcanic sands 60-70%; stones and effusive rocks.
Harvest: manual, second decade of October
Winemaking: fermentation in truncated cone-shaped oak tanks with selected indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation completed.
Aging: 24 months in large oak barrels and 12 months in bottle.
Year: 2015
Alcohol percentage: 13.5% vol.
