From a careful selection of Pinot Noir 85% and Chardonnay 15% and from expert vinification, this elegant wine is born.
The vineyards are located in Lombardia, in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese at about 250 m above sea level, with a south-southwest exposure. The cultivation and processing of the vineyard are carried out in a traditional manner, respecting the standards of Organic Agriculture.
Characteristics of the vineyard: the vineyard was planted in 1991 with a planting density of about 4000 vines/hectare and trained in Guyot Basso. Good exposure, high planting density, plant-friendly agronomic practices, and an attentive and meticulous production methodology are the fundamental characteristics for superior quality production.
Harvesting methods: exclusively manual with selection and sorting of the product.
Winemaking: the grapes, after harvesting, are transported to our cellars where the processing begins. Pressing with a pneumatic press for the separation of juice from skins, followed by static decantation in tank at 12° C for 28-30 hours. Then, selected yeasts are inoculated to activate the alcoholic fermentation managed at a controlled temperature and never exceeding 16° C. The stay on the lees lasts for about 40 days.
Bottling: the wine matures in tank at a temperature of about 16° C for several months, then refrigerated to -4° C for 8-10 days for a safe tartaric stabilization and subsequently bottled; three months of aging in the bottle before commercialization.
La Casaia is not just a winery, La Casaia is the realization of a dream! The dream of Roberto and Vittorio, two young fifty-somethings, 52 and 53 to be exact, who have the spirit and enthusiasm of tireless twenty-five-year-olds... Go to the La Casaia page.
This elegant cuvée will give you pleasant sensations when paired with elaborate appetizers, delicate starters, and fish dishes.
It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 8°-10° C.
Romantic dinner or unconventional aperitif? Salted sea bass or Sicilian swordfish? Here with our "La rosa Bianca," it would be perfect.
The color is straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is intense with very persistent floral notes. The taste is soft, refined, and of high structure with prominent hints of peach and apricot and pleasant notes of sweet almond.
Harmonious wine, with the right persistence, almost "silky", will bring great balance to the dish and will amaze you with a slight savory note at the finish.
A wine to take, a wine to tell the story because the story of Roberto and Vittorio from La Casaia is not one of those standard ones! Good wine, a story to tell, what else?
