In 2005, the agricultural company "Nocciola Tomatis" was officially founded, but its story began many years earlier. As early as 1997, two young enthusiasts, Barbara and Fabrizio, had immersed themselves in the world of hazelnut cultivation, a choice far from obvious at the time. In those years, in fact, hazelnut cultivation, despite being in the homeland of hazelnuts, Piedmont, was considered marginal, overshadowed by other more profitable and secure crops. However, for them, the matter was not about profit, but about passion.
The birth and growth of Nocciola Tomatis
Barbara and Fabrizio, both engaged in very different jobs, dedicated every free moment to their project.
In the early days, their enterprise was still a distant dream, but over the years, thanks to commitment, patience, and determination, that dream began to take shape.
The interest of confectionery industries in Nocciola Piemonte grew rapidly, leading it to gain recognition as a world-class excellence. This achievement provided Barbara and Fabrizio with the decisive push to start their hazelnut business.
Barbara then took the first step by leaving her job to dedicate herself full-time to the company, planting new hazelnut groves and overseeing every phase of production. Shortly after, Fabrizio followed her example, also leaving his job to fully concentrate on the business.
Production increased, the company became more established, and their project came to life more and more.
