The Custoza is a denomination that offers wines made from a blend of indigenous grape varieties and other international ones, which have been cultivated for many years among the morainic hills south of Lake Garda in the municipality of Sommacampagna (VR). Fresh and young soils for equally fresh and flavorful wines with a strong aromatic content.
The Custoza DOC from Cavalchina is a must in Verona and one of the most interpretative wines of the denomination and its territory.
Garganega 40%, Fernanda 30% (clone of Custoza), Trebbiano 15%, Trebbianello 15% (clone of Tocai). It has a very interesting bouquet of white fruit and acacia and elderflower.
Pleasant on the palate, fresh and savory with a nice hazelnut finish.
Alcohol 12% Vol.
Pairing. Excellent as an aperitif and with raw fish. It pairs well with asparagus dishes and vegetable purées. In the Veronese tradition, it goes well with salami. Additionally, it pairs nicely with not very aged cheeses such as fresh Asiago or Monte Veronese aged 6 months.
