The Col de la Bastia Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from Azienda Agricola Fattori is a dry passito red wine of the highest quality, produced from the extraordinary grapes grown in the vineyards located in the area of Bastia, which is the watershed between the Val d’Alpone and the Val d’Illasi, in the heart of Valpolicella, a hilly area situated in the northwestern part of the province of Verona.
Amarone is a wine that comes from a blend of grapes from different grape varieties, the most important being Corvina (65%); there are also Rondinella (10%), Corvinone (15%), and other non-essential vineyards.
This still black wine is characterized by a granate red color and a very pronounced characteristic aroma. The full, warm, and velvety taste presents aromatic notes of ripe red fruit.

The Col de la Bastia Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from the Azienda Agricola Fattori is perfect with winter seasonal foods, such as braised dishes, stews, roasts, but especially with game. It also pairs perfectly with cured meats, aged cheeses, and typical dishes of the Veronese tradition such as "pasta e fasoi" and the same Amarone risotto. The ideal serving temperature is around 18° C, perhaps pouring the wine into a decanter that allows for adequate oxygenation, a process that enhances its organoleptic properties. The type of glass recommended for proper serving is a very wide red wine glass which, by allowing the wine to breathe, gives the aromas the opportunity to release all their intensity.
