The Vespolina Colline Novaresi DOC from the Azienda Agricola Mirù is a high-quality red wine, produced from the extraordinary grape grown in the vineyards located near Ghemme, a small town in the province of Novara, in Piedmont.
A small curiosity: since 1994, the municipality of Ghemme has been part of the "Città del vino", places carefully selected by the National Association Città del Vino, an institution present throughout the national territory formed by over five hundred local Italian entities that gather all those localities that are distinguished for their excellent wine production.
This wine takes its name from the vine with which it is produced, the Vespolina indeed, whose name seems to derive from the saying that this grape, being very sweet, attracts wasps.
This wine is characterized by a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The aroma is fine and characterized by particular aromatic notes of spices on a distinctly peppered background. The taste is instead balanced and presents a good level of persistence but above all a great structure.
Vintage: 2017
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
