South Tyrol Sauvignon DOC “Blanc Lafòa” - Colterenzio

The Blanc Lafòa Alto Adige Sauvignon DOC 2018 from Cantina Colterenzio is a Sauvignon with a distinctive style, characterized by a delicate balance between fruit and acidity. Marked in its youth by a flexible structure stirred by a certain turbulence, after several years of aging in the bottle, the Sauvignon blanc “Lafòa” proves to be harmonious and balanced without losing its characteristic freshness.

Grape variety: Sauvignon blanc.
Vineyard: it is located in an excellent sunny exposure. It is a rather dry area with sandy and gravelly soils of morainic origin.
Vinification: after a short maceration, the perfectly ripe grapes are pressed. The must ferments half in steel, while the rest in barriques. Only this latter part undergoes malolactic fermentation. After about 8 months of maturation on the yeast, the two wines are blended and carefully bottled.
Aging potential: 6 - 10 years.

Acidity: 6 g/l
Dry extract: 19.9 g/l
Residual sugars: 2.5 g/l

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
