These Sardinian green beans are a very fresh product, rich in flavor and purifying properties for our body: they contain large amounts of vitamin A and C, minerals such as potassium, iron, and phosphorus. They also contain a lot of calcium and silicon and have remarkable antioxidant properties that help our body get rid of free radicals. The flavonoids also protect us from inflammation and help blood circulation.
The Emilian green beans from Sa.Ma. Frutta (which we are presenting on this page in a quantity of 1kg) must be cooked, as they contain phaseolin, a protein that can be toxic if not broken down by cooking. It is recommended to use steaming to preserve the vegetable's organoleptic properties. They are great as an ingredient for trofie with green beans, potatoes, and Ligurian pesto; or to prepare a light lasagna with vegetarian béchamel.
