This pearled spelt is grown in Italy and processed by Le-gumì in the Vercelli area, a land truly suited for the cultivation of legumes and cereals.
Pearled spelt is a functional food, meaning it not only nourishes but also has a beneficial effect on the functions of our body. It contains regulators of important vital functions, such as fiber and antioxidant substances. It is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, and vitamins.
The processing process of pearled spelt is as follows:
- Cleaning: removal of dry stones and other foreign bodies;
- Calibration: selection by size;
- Selection: by specific weight;
- Brushing: makes the product cleaner and removes dust.
