In 1952 Roger Brun creates his own Champagne Maison

The story of the Brun family dates back several generations, when Roger Brun, a passionate winemaker, decided to create his own Champagne house in 1952 in Ay, in the prestigious Montagne de Reims region. From the very beginning, Roger Brun aimed to produce Champagne of exceptional quality, paying particular attention to every stage of the process, from vine to bottle.

Roger Brun: terroir, cultivation, and winemaking

Roger Brun has become one of the best-known wine estates and its wines have gained international fame. Today, the house is still managed by members of the Brun family, who proudly uphold the values of quality, authenticity, and respect for the terroir.

The terroir

A fundamental element for the quality of the Roger Brun Champagnes. The house's vineyards cover approximately 20 hectares, located mainly in the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne. These terroirs benefit from chalky soil and an ideal microclimate for cultivating Champagne grape varieties, particularly Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay.

Winemaking

Winemaking at Roger Brun is a meticulous process, where tradition and modernity meet. The grapes are carefully pressed, and the juices are vinified separately to preserve the diversity of the terroirs. The use of indigenous yeasts and stainless steel tanks helps to maintain the freshness and purity of the aromas. The cuvées are then aged on their lees for an extended period, adding complexity and consistency to the Champagnes.

Sustainable cultivation

The vines are cultivated in a responsible and sustainable manner, with great attention to environmental conservation and soil health. The harvest is carried out by hand, allowing for a careful selection of the ripest and healthiest grapes, ensuring optimal quality of the wines.
